Captain's Corner

Hi Ladies....

Hope everyone enjoyed Victoria Day Long Weekend. Weather was good, golf was good and company was outstanding  so no complaints from me!!

Just wanted to give a few updates as we head into a busy June and beyond. Our Club has a few of our long-standing Members on the "injured list". Thanks to our Sunshine Lady, Lynn B., we have sent speedy recovery wishes to our gals but please keep the following girls in your thoughts: Linda Raymond, Judy D., Jo-Anne Vail, Joan M. and Wendy Chisholm. We miss you at our Tuesday and Thursday dates and hope to have you back swinging with the rest of us real soon.

We also have had a few gals traveling, as well,  and we are looking forward to having them back and sharing their worldly adventures with us. Welcome home, Shari D. (from Japan cruise) and Lynne D. (from Italy, Sicily and Malta) and Wendy Chisholm (from Italy). We're looking forward to Joan M/ and Bobbi S/ returning from their Alaskan, and UK cruises, respectively. Judy D. and Jo-Anne V. are also enjoying the high seas and will be back to us as soon as their injuries allow. Tammy H. is enjoying family time with her folks in Ontario...hurry back! You are all missed!!

Arrowsmith Ladies Club is delighted to welcome our new Member, Joanne H., to our membership. Joanne and her husband played with Sue and I a couple of Sundays ago and Sue was instrumental in extending the invitation for Joanne to play with us as our Guest. We did not scare her off last Thursday - lol - so Joanne made the decision to sign on as our new Member. WELCOME Joanne .... we will try to get you introduced to everyone as we move forward but just know....we are DELIGHTED to have you here!!

Hats Off and Huge Thanks to all girls that helped with our New-To-You Clothing Sale at the course on May 6th. Whether you donated items, your time, your storage or shopped.... THANK YOU. The Ladies Club realized an infusion of funds in the $700 range. Our Executive will get together and make plans for these monies and will share that with you after the meeting. Meantime....BIG SHOUT OUT to Tammy H., Sue B., Wendy C. (storage), Julie W., Kathy L., Rosetta . for being the few that did the work for the benefit of the many. Arrowsmith Ladies Club is so appreciative ....  let's remember to show it.

It is this core group of volunteers that make our Ladies Club successful - the Executive, the Committees and Members that step up, take on a role and contribute to the success of the Ladies Club. No one person can accomplish this....not the Captain nor any individual.....but, as a TEAM, we are a force that makes a difference. THANK YOU ALL.... 

And so...we are about to say Good-bye to May, 2026 and Welcome to June. We will be looking forward to Cap Rounds, Ryder Cup Competitions with 2025 Champions Shari D. (gross) and Dianne G. (net) as Team Captains, as well as Tuesday & Thursday camaraderie. Let's make the Summer of 2026 one to remember... especially as we prepare for Club Championship in August.

If there are any ideas, comments, concerns you would like to bring forward....I am here for you! I look forward to playing in your foursome  - keep your laughter to a minimum as I swing (LOL). and play well!  Thanks for making Arrowsmith Ladies Club so welcoming and a place I, and many others, like to volunteer our time.
